- Safe physically and emotionally
Children are a valued part of the Redeemer Parish family, and we treasure their presence as Christ did. Scripture teaches that children are a gift from God, wonderful and precious, and are to be guarded and guided with care. We welcome the children and seek to lead them to experience the love of God in such a way that inspires them to follow Christ and to share their faith with others. No child is too young to feel the warmth of Jesus’ love that shines through those who share their faith with them.
A staffed nursery is available for infants and toddlers during our three weekend services downstairs adjacent to the Parish Hall. For our 5:00 pm Saturday service it is staffed from 4:45 pm through 6:15 pm. On Sunday morning for our Adult Forum 8:15-9:15 am and our 9:30 am worship service the nursery is staffed continuously from 7:45 am through 11:15 am. Children’s Ministry Time during the 9:30 AM service for 4K through 5th grade (4 years old by August 31) children are invited to worship with their parents for the opening prayers in the 9:30 service. Upon dismissal, teachers will escort them to Parish Hall for a time of learning using a Bible based, hands-on Sunday school curriculum from Group Publishing. In fact Groups says about their materials.
Hands-On Bible Curriculum was voted “easiest to teach” in a national poll of children’s ministry leaders. With step-by-step teacher guides, gizmo-packed Learning Labs, music, and lots of extras, it helps your volunteers make the greatest impact with the least amount of work.
